All Aquatics exercise classes are included as part of your membership. Club Northwest has three indoor salt water pools:
• 5-lane, 25 yard lap swimming pool (80-82 degrees)
• 10' by 50' warm water pool (90-92 degrees)
• 8' x 13' spa pool (102 - 104 degrees)
In addition to aquatic exercise classes, we offer swimming lessons, family swim time and open swim.
Family Swim
A lifeguard is scheduled in the Aquatics Center during Family Swim times.
Children 6 years of age and under must be accompanied and closely supervised by a parent/guardian who is 18 years or older at all times, even during Family Swim times.
Children between the ages of 7 to 13 years may swim without parent/guardian supervision during Family Swim times under the following conditions:
1. The child must demonstrate to the lifeguard the ability to swim the length of the pool.
2. Parent/guardian must sign the child in to the pool and remain within the Club Northwest facility.
Open/Lap Swim
No lifeguard is scheduled during Open Swim times. For safety reasons, all children under 14 years of age must be accompanied and closely supervised by their parent/guardian who is 18 years or older. Lap swimming lanes are always open!

Aquatics Class Descriptions
Warm Water Workout
Improves your flexibility, muscle tone, daily function and strength. All major muscle groups are addressed, sometimes even in song, and you'll find smiles and socialization emerge naturally. This is a doctor-recommended format of exercises for pre-op, post-op, fibromyalgia and arthritis as impact is low and movement is slow. Held in the warm water pool in water between 3 ½ and 5 feet deep.
Deep Water Workout
Develops cardiovascular condition, strength and core stability. Uses buoyancy equipment; full suspension. Intensity of workout is HIGH; Speed of movements is slow-to-moderate. Beginners to advanced exercisers are welcome. Held in the main pool in water 6 feet deep.
Wave Walkers
Designed for those who want the support of the water to walk. Movements work on balance, stability and strength by walking forward, backward, sideways and in place. Consistent and regular participating results in improved daily function and independence. Pace is slow. Held in warm water pool in water between 3 ½ and 5 feet deep.
Aqua Robics
Develops cardiovascular conditioning, strength and endurance. Movements include jogging, jumping jacks, and cross-country skiing in the shallow water. Choreography is simple and the pace moderate. The intensity of the workout is determined by each exerciser. Held in the main pool in water 4-5 feet deep.
Competitive Swim Class
Held November – February for experienced swimmers.
For those of you that have swum competitively, are swimming competitively, want to swim competitively, or just want the intense workout that this class will give you, here’s your opportunity.
This is a class that utilizes the entire length of the main pool.
